DURA-TR: Tube Rings/Sleeves
Tube rings and sleeves are components used in various industries. Some common applications for short pieces of tubing include electrical grounding, crimp rings, and connectors.
Tube sleeves, also called ferrules or compression sleeves, are cylindrical components used to reinforce and seal tubing or hose connections. They are commonly made of copper or brass. Tube sleeves are placed over the end of a tube before it is inserted into a fitting or another tube. When the connection is made, the sleeve compresses against the tubing and the fitting, creating a tight seal and preventing leaks. They are often used in compression fittings, flare fittings, or other types of connections where a secure seal is required.
Copper alloy tubing is an ideal material for electrical connectors due to its conductivity, ductility, and resistance to corrosion. It is widely used in electrical systems across industries such as power generation, transmission and distribution, telecommunications, automotive, aerospace, and industrial machinery.
